I appreciate the dialogue. Anytime you got just two actors through the whole movie, that makes it tough. Willem Dafoe did a great job.

Great cinematography. One of the best Lovecraft movies, complete with a cursed idol, descent into madness, and horror of the unknown.

The old-timey film style looked nice, but didn’t contribute much to the story-telling. I get it’s a psychological horror, but it felt too vacuous for any of it to be meaningful. The symbolism of Prometheus stealing fire was fine.
