Bloody Hell

Mark 7 The stylization was fun, but it went a little too hard early on. It was good they lightened up on it as the movie went on. The humor was also just surreal enough. They sprinkled it throughout the movie and never took it too far. The actors who played the creepy family definitely sold it, but they weren't terribly substantial, which I can't decide if that was a detriment. But making his conversations with himself literal helped distinguish the movie. I felt like something was missing. Maybe the dark humor needed to go a little further in places. Just, something small enough I can't put my finger on it, but it's just noticeable enough the movie felt like it lacked something.
Justin 8 I quite enjoyed this one. It was a fun ride. I don't know that genre this is—some kind of action heist horror comedy?—but they executed it perfectly. The kid was a terrible actor, so it was good they got him out of the way early on we didn't have to sit through his performance. Everyone else did great a job, and the lead actor rocked, especially playing out his multiple personality, dissociative identity disorder. There several moments where we just cracked up, and I enjoyed the ending. That perfect little moment in the background right at the end.
James 7 It was good thing we turned on the subtitles. Rating this one feels like a little bit of a challenge. The movie didn't really tell a story, but that wasn't the real point. It was the gratuitous gore and the comedy. I do think our lead actor, Ben O'Toole, did really well. The rest of the cast, eh. Maybe B-rate actors. Thespians, if you will. I don't know if they were really selling any characters. The love interest did well enough. But yeah. Fun, funny movie. Good gore. A bit of originality to the storyline.
